Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:
1/2 pound bulk pork sausage (we used 6 oz maple sausage)
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 3/4 cups milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

'...in a saucepan, cook the sausage over medium heat until no longer pink. Stir in butter until melted. Sprinkle with flour. Gradually stir in milk, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes.'
